This book, An Abridgment of the Record of Lehi, is unique in all the world. It was received by inspiration from the Holy Ghost on a certain day and year to an unknown servant of God. It claims to be, and is, an abridgment of the first book which was stolen and became lost from the Book of Mormon. It was originally called the Book of Lehi, which was translated by Joseph Smith and transcribed by Martin Harris back in 1828. It has become known to Mormon history as the lost 116 manuscript pages.
