Don't bother!

I am afraid I expected a somewhat scholarly book about state names, instead I got what might make a series of "cute" pamphlets to hand out at the state line. Each state gets a sentence or two about what the state name may or may not mean, based on "According to traditional history." Even this seems to be at best skimpy. Then we get the author's imaginary zany story that sometimes is even humourous. I was very disappointed.
