Interesting multicultural observations

This book, with 70 pages of footnotes is very well researched. It is also well indexed. It reminds me of an online course I took on Manifest Destiny in American Religion about a decade ago -- and the author does mention that idea throughout the book.
This is an interesting array of myths and visions. I, for one, had never thought about any segment of Buddhism creating myths about America. However, there is no way any person could create an all-inclusive list of such myths -- because not all of them have been recorded in documentary form which could have been included in a scholarly book such as this one. Buck exhibits a good grasp of "multiculturicity" as he digs out views of several differing groups.
If you have an interest in comparative religion, this is a "must have" book.
