I was seriously disappointed in this book, as it didn't add anything to what I had read in O'Dea's book on the Mormons. It was a total waste of my time and money. I guess I am simply not interested in Mr. Hoffman's perspectives.

The book should have, yet does not, even refer to any recent sociological or other professionally conducted studies producing cultural data. The text is primarily unsupported opinion.
