Time for paradigm shift

I have never heard of Ms. Olive but I am impressed with her attention to detail and deductive logic. She explains how the Mesoamerican theories of the Book of Mormon started and provides arguments why they might be invalid. She then continues by providing arguments why the Lands of Lehi are in the United States...predominantly in New York. I think if someone does not consider her theories they are not open to the truth. You may not agree with her conclusions, but her supporting facts at least deserve consideration.

Phyllis Carol Olive is also the author of a sequel to this book, The Lost Tribes of the Book of Mormon.
She wrote in the Preface to this 2000 book, "(this) is a work that introduces a setting that meets all the requirements necessary to be the lands of the ancient Nephites and Jaredites. This work is not intended to be just a geographical study guide but a historical guide as well... once the geography of the ancient setting becomes more familiar, the life and death struggles of the Nephites and Jaredites will take on new meaning... A study of the following chapters will take you on a journey through the ancient setting and will help to explain the descriptions of borders and landmarks within each territory..."
Here are some additional quotations from the book:
"Perhaps the time has now come to concentrate more heavily on those lands surrounding the only known landmark we have---the Hill Cumorah in New York." (Preface)
"Now, since there was no official designation given by the Church as to the whereabouts of the ancient Book of Mormon lands, we might reasonably ask ourselves why those theories that placed them in either South America or in Central America continued to persist for so long? The author presents some interesting ideas of where the Book of Mormon territory was located. This book was worth the read. Thank you.
